Hi, I'm Tanya. I'm a tattoo artist and illustrator currently based in Portland, Oregon. I spent the past 9 years in NYC and regularly travel back to tattoo and play music with my band, Shadowland. I am always accepting bookings for NYC as well.

I work at Mortal Emblem and Reliquary tattoo in Portland, and can usually be found at Gnostic Tattoo when working in Brooklyn.

I've always been very involved in music and art, and got my start drawing flyers for punk shows in my early teen years.  I decided I wanted to tattoo when I was 13, I was able to get a scholarship to the School of Visual Art in NYC in 2013, where I studied illustration.  I  have been tattooing since 2019.

Here are some things i like; My two cats Ari and Fritz, 1970's-80s Heavy Metal Magazine, 80's games workshop artists, underground comix, horror film and comics,  symbolist art, fantasy art and pulp covers, and Weird fiction literature.  I grew up surrounded by punk, goth, and heavy metal and am generally a fan of the WIERD STUFF across genres. I generally dislike writing bios, but getting tattooed requires one on one time, so it's nice to know a little about me before we work together. ​

My tattoo work is inspired by the likes of 1980s tattooers like Jack Rudy and Greg Irons, but I also love traditional tattoo subjects and botanicals.
